Members of the Boomerang Alliance work with business, government and the community to promote environmentally-sound waste avoidance in Australia.

TO BRING WASTE BACK TO ZERO we support:

• Setting waste levies in each State to fully recover the cost of pollution.

• Implementing Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes on all problem and profligate wastes.

• Shifting waste management costs from rates and taxes to those who produce the waste.

• Developing infrastructure and systems to manage product take-back.

• Incentivising local reprocessing and Alternative Waste Technologies.

• Encouraging markets for environmentally-sound products including those containing recycled material
